Steve Shaw enjoys raising funds for
worthwhile causes. In 2009, he was invited to participate in a stage
production entitled, "Children of Autumn", by producer Grace Kohn.
This lovely, engaging production was staged in Jasper, Alberta, Canada. It was a huge success. In one evening, the show raised $10,000 towards the purchase a hyperbaric chamber to benefit children of all ages in the Jasper area.
Masks were required for the play, so Steve took a masque-making workshop, and he hasn't looked back since. One of Steve's masques is featured on the show's promotional poster. (See Right)
The Masques of Children of Autumn
The Masques of Children of AutumnThe Masques of Children of Autumn are handcrafted in leather. Each masque is signed and named by the artist, who is also the creator of the characters of the play, Children of Autumn. The Children of Autumn DVD will be available in April, 2010.
The masques are art pieces, recognized by consignees as unique decorative expressions, suitable for wall hanging throughout the home.
The collection of twenty-one masques can be ordered by email or phone.
The roles were played by children, however, the masques are available in men, women or children sizes.
The Children of Autumn masques range from $50 to $100. Shipping is additional.
